The United States Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) program recently honored LSI Vice President John Bailey with its Patriot Award. This award recognizes employers for their efforts in supporting citizen warriors in the Army National Guard and Reserve, including creating flexible schedules; offering time off prior to and after deployment; helping with family care; and granting leaves of absence.
Bailey was nominated for the award by Adam Raby, an LSI employee and member of the Army National Guard. “LSI has gone above and beyond that of a regular employer in regards to my involvement with the National Guard,’’ says Raby. “John’s constant support and flexibility has made balancing work and duty a no-stress situation. He’s the ideal person to receive the Patriot Award.”
“I’m beyond honored to receive this award,” says Bailey. “It may be in my name, but it’s LSI as a whole that truly deserves the recognition. We take pride in supporting the troops in any way that we can. If there’s ever anything LSI can do to make a soldier’s life easier, we do it.”
