Q&A with Arthur

To get to know Arthur better, we asked him four questions about his career journey and what he looks forward to as he begins his new role with LSI.

How did your professional journey bring you to LSI?

Having lived in the factory automation world throughout my career, the incredible breadth of services LSI offers was a perfect fit for my vision of what a successful digital solution partner should be. The company culture along with LSI’s track record of long-term client relationships aligned with my ambitions to provide leadership and benefit to our clients through sustainable recurring engagements.

What are you looking forward to the most in your new role at LSI?

I’m looking forward to collaborating with the immensely talented engineers and individuals at LSI who have been able to grow this company into the one of the largest integrators in the world. In my first few weeks at LSI I have been exposed to so many intelligent people who are constantly pushing the envelope with technology to bring the best solutions for our clients.

What trends in your field are you most excited about?

It’s a very exciting time to be working within technology, especially in a niche like factory automation that has traditionally lagged behind the IT world. Although it feels like we’re constantly being bombarded and oversold by the concept of AI, I’m excited and cautiously optimistic that some amazing use-cases are just around the corner. I’m hopeful we’ll soon see tools where we can leverage AI to optimize energy consumption and further improve quality, reducing environmental impact of the manufacturing process and the product lifecycle.

Outside of engineering, what do you enjoy doing in your free time? Any favorite hobbies or interests?

When I’m not hiking, snowboarding, or taking advantage of ocean and lakes around the beautiful Pacific Northwest mountains, my toddler takes full advantage of my free time!
