How long have you been with LSI?
I have been with LSI for five years. However, I’ve known and worked with LSI for more than 20 years before becoming an employee.
What is your role at LSI?
I am a Senior Process Engineer and am typically involved in project management, process design and systems integration, process modeling, functional descriptions, construction management, commissioning, and operator training.
Where did you go to college?
I attended Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto, Ontario, and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
What industries have you been involved in?
I have been primarily involved in the brewing industry for most of my career. However, I have also worked in the food & beverage, industrial distillation, dairy, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.
What is your area of expertise?
Process and mechanical engineering and design for the food & beverage industry. I also have a great deal of experience with CAD and 3D mechanical design.
What platforms are you familiar with?
AutoCAD and Inventor 3D
What has been your favorite project at LSI?
The brewery projects in Memphis, TN. I have spent a lot of my career working there, and that’s where my relationship with LSI started. The projects and improvements that LSI has performed at the brewery are impressive.
What is your proudest moment at LSI?
I’m not sure if I have a single proudest moment with LSI, but I’m proud of the customer relationships we have built based on the trust that we will get the job done.
What sets LSI apart as an employer?
The work environment. At LSI, it feels more like a team effort when working on a project, and it’s also easy to draw on internal resources to respond to an issue quickly.

Teamwork, customer-oriented, responsive
What is one thing that clients may not know about LSI that you would like to share?
The breadth of services that we can provide. From scope development, project management, process, piping and mechanical design, equipment fabrications, construction support, commissioning and startup, operator training and support.
Long-term client relationships are a hallmark of LSI. Why is that?
I think our clients see that working with us is less like a supplier-customer relationship and more of a collaborative effort by a group to achieve a common goal. Once they realize that we are as invested in the outcome as they are, they want to continue working with us in the future.
How has LSI helped you in your career development?
LSI has given me the flexibility to work in my areas of expertise and at the same time branch out into other areas allowing involvement in all aspects of a given project.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Spending time with my dog, working around the house, skiing, or sailing.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
I like the water, so it would be a tie between the Greek Islands or sailing in the Caribbean.
Your favorite sports team?
Red Bull Racing Formula 1, Borussia Dortmund, and the Austrian Alpine World Cup Ski Team.

Any random facts about yourself that you could share with us?
I don’t want to shock my American colleagues, but I don’t own a hockey stick.
