Seven years
What is your role at LSI?
I’m a controls engineer today, but when I started with LSI, I was a process/mechanical engineer.
Where did you go to college?
I attended the University of Pittsburgh for two years and then graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
What industries have you been involved in?
Food & Beverage, Brewing, Pharmaceutical, and Logistics & Package Handling.
What is your area of expertise?
A lot of my experience is with HMI design and programming.
What platforms are you familiar with?
Rockwell Automation, Wonderware, and GE.
What has been your favorite project at LSI?
A large controls modernization project for a package handling client in Fort Worth, TX. It was a challenging project but in spite of covid and other unforeseen circumstances, we came together as a team, and our success has led to more projects with the client.
What is your proudest moment at LSI?
Anytime I program something and it works as I intended. I’m sure most controls engineers can relate to that feeling.

What sets LSI apart as a system integrator?
From a project’s start to finish, we are available and pay attention to the details.
What are three ways or words that you would use to describe LSI?
Engaging, innovative, and collaborative.
What is one thing that clients may not know about LSI that you would like to share?
Depending on project requirements, sometimes clients are familiar with only a few of our people or capabilities. So, I’d like them to know that we have a large team of engineering professionals and can help them with a broader range of services than they are aware of.

How has LSI helped you in your career development?
Having the opportunity to work on projects of all sizes with clients across diverse industries has helped me immensely in my career.
What advice do you have for prospective LSI candidates?
You need to have the desire to learn. Whether it’s a new industry, platform, or technology, there’s a lot of opportunity to learn and grow.
How do you like to spend your free time?
I love spending time with my family. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and boating in particular.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere with a beach.

Any random facts about yourself that you could share with us?
I have a twin sister (fraternal) and played collegiate softball for both the University of Pittsburgh and the Colorado School of Mines.
